This article aims to analyze the techniques and strategies adopted in the audiovisual translation from Spanish into Italian of the polyrematic expressions identified in the Amazon Video series Caronte. The primary objective is to examine, through a comparative approach, the extent to which the linguistic affinity between Spanish and Italian influences the act of interlingual transposition and whether it facilitates or complicates it. The methodology adopted is mixed (qualitative-quantitative). After transcribing the original Spanish version and the Italian subtitled version, all polyrematic expressions were identified along with their respective translation options. Subsequently, the results were systematically organized in order to draw initial conclusions regarding the linguistic-translation phenomenon addressed.
